Push Rods 1947 A

We just completed installing a re-conditioned cylinder head on 1947 "A" John Deere. What are the basics for adjusting the push rods?? or can they be left at the old settings?

.022 clearance cold setting with a feeler gauge at the rocker arms to valve stem. Each cylinder has to be at TDC of compression stroke to set it.

And if you turn them just finger tight for zero clearance, you can back off two flats on the 3/8" tappet adjusting screw and be VERY close. Works well on tappet faces that are no longer flat.
