john deere 70 hyd oil

I removed hyd. pump above pto and made a cover for it and also removed hyd lines and pump off govenor housing. Do i still need to put hyd oil in the tractor some where? where would i check it? The big plug on rear end housing on left of pto is that where i put the 80w90 gear oil? fill to what level? where do i check level? Thanks for all the help.
 
Since the POWR-TROL valve housing, POWR-TROL pump oil tubes, and pump have been removed, there is no need for oil.

The photo below shows the oil level cock used to check the oil level in the POWR-TROL.

Fill with 80w90 gear oil to the bottom of the threads.
