Found my B (2nd & 4th) gear pop out while plowing at a plow day event last week. Anyone know what the likely cause would be and what the fix would entail ? |

| Probably a worn gear and or bearing. ON the sliding shaft. Could possibly be a weak spring on the detent shaft but highly unlikely Hope this helpsSam |

| Thanks for the feedback. I haven't tried to get in there and was wondering how deep I will have to go to deal with it. After the first time I kept my eye on it and watched it work out of gear. Took about 200 hundred yards or so. Doesn't do it in any other gear. Can I access the gears from under the floor plate ? |

| | Yes if you take the topcover off you should be able to inspect the shaft, gears & do some wiggling to see if the bearing is tight. If it is the bearing/gear etc then you have to take the reduction gear cover off to get it fixed up. Sam |
