i got a carb from rick for my B, it was like brand new. i'd deal with him if i needed another carb for sure

There is a serial number break on early 50"s. First ones used a single barrel DLTX-67 (gas) or -73 (all-fuel), same as a late B.
When the change was made to duplex carbs, the gas one is a DLTX-75, and -86 is for all-fuel, although the all- fuel carb will work okay on a gas tractor with simple modifications.

it appears I miss-spoke about early gas 50's using a single barrel DLTX-67, although I think I've seen them. Also, the Duplex-86 is a gas carb after the s/n break. The dash 83 is the all-fuel duplex, and the dash 75 is the early gas.
Unless you're concerned about the correct police, there isn't enough difference in a 75 vs a 86 to make any difference in performance. Even the small throat models on the 520 and 530 use the same jets and fuel nozzles.
