JD 50 tractor (live PTO) and JD #5 Mower - I'm hearing a clunking in the clutch-side/first reduction cover area at my feet only at times when using the #5 mower and passing through a thicker clump of heavy grass and working the machine a little harder(clipping pasture weeds in the South with some Bermuda grass patches)or sometimes while climbing a steeper incline and mowing. Also don't know if it's related but when trying to get going on the road in 6th gear I hear a simular clunk at my feet when I first engage the clutch to take-off. I am wondering what kind of problem these could be, and how difficult it could be to repair, and where to even start looking? Thanks for any insights.
