Has the flywheel been off? Is the drive key for the oil slinger aligned into the notch where it belongs?

I havent had it off i bought this tractor for a restoration for my son and me had some key parts were missing when i got it so i don't know anything that has been done to it. I was told i was the third owner and the other two that had it before me just let it sit and didn't dew anything to it.I loosend the flywheel up and it slid up so far and stoped and that is as far as i can get it to go.Thanks for the reply

Make sure your clutch is loose and then do the end play, then readjust the clutch.

Alvin. The flywheel outside surface is OUT AWAY from the END of the crank? If so, mark the flywheel and crank with a ink pen. Loosen the flywheel bolts. Remove flywheel carefully. Weighs about 150 lbs. Clean the splines of both. Reinstall flywheel. Set Endplay to 3-10 thousandths.
