I have read the optimizing your 8000 series manual and it says to raise the front buy 2 psi over rated psi for axle loads until power hop stops and to leave the rear alone according to the tire size chart for the rear says I can run as low as 9 psi for for up to 17500 pounds rear axle weight with duals so should I lower the rear psi?
Thanks Shaun

I remember something about deere putting out a service bulletin on this back in the day. On our 8100 we"re running16.9 x30"s at 20psi and 20.8x42 at 18 psi 2 100"s on the front and 4 of those really thick rear wheel weights on the rear. We find the firestone tear at the pry notch if we go low with the air on singles with some of the 3 point imps we use.

Way too much air. In our big tillage tractors (9560's) we run 6-7 psi. Obviously you can't go that low with your sizes but try less. They squat pretty good. Slippage will go way down also. And yes more ballast. The heavier the better.

It could be largely due to your weight ballast. You need to configure your wheel/suitcase weights so you have approx. 65% rear weight and 35% front.

As was said below, check to make sure it has the proper size tires on it.If they are correct then I would ask the local dealer what they have done on other peoples tractors to correct a power hop problem. Soil conditions, the implement you are pulling, speed you are running, weigts/fluid in the tires all contribute to the problem. You may have to add/remove weights, adjust tire pressures,or worst case change out a set of tires. Don't keep trying to run it hopping,it will take a rear or driveline out.

To start with, are you really sure you have front and rear tire sizes that are compatible with each other. If either set has been replaced sometime by someone, mismatched sizes could have been put back on. Check at your local JD dealership about tire size compatibility.
