I need to find bolts/studs to connect the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head on my 1947 A - John Deere. (1) Appear to be 5/16 ? (2) Where is a source to buy other than a John Deere Dealer? $$$$(3)appears to be course thread? Suggestions appreciated. Thanks. |

| I used grade 8 zinc plated bolts on mine. Put plenty of anti-seize on the threads. 7/16-14 is the thread, and I dont know about the other castings, but my A3367R has blind holes - no water leak possible. |

| jd b puller is right, pay the extra and get them from deere, thats not a fun job doing the manifold, esp if you have to get the old studs out, might want to put some anti seize on the studs too. |

| They are 7/16" and you would be wise to buy them from Deere. They have a special thread on the end that goes in the head. If you try to use normal studs, most likely they will leak and you"ll be back on here asking how to stop the water leak. |
