shawmic 10-17-2012 17:29:11 71.193.73.217 Report to Moderator	I need to find bolts/studs to connect the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head on my 1947 A - John Deere. (1) Appear to be 5/16 ? (2) Where is a source to buy other than a John Deere Dealer? $$$$(3)appears to be course thread? Suggestions appreciated. Thanks. [Reply]   [No Email]

Put plenty of anti-seize on the threads. 7/16-14 is the thread, and I dont know about the other castings, but my A3367R has blind holes - no water leak possible. [Reply]  [No Email]

They have a special thread on the end that goes in the head. If you try to use normal studs, most likely they will leak and you"ll be back on here asking how to stop the water leak.
