internaltional 606 10-07-2012 14:43:33 50.54.28.184 Report to Moderator	I was wanting to know if a 44 A has a commom oil resivior with the transmision and engine like the early D's. What is the best way to tell if there is water in the oil. Where are the check holes for the engine oil and tranny oil. Kinda new to the green ones. usually ness around with the red ones but want something with a hand clutch for the kids. Give me the short education on Styled A's Thank you [Reply]   [No Email]

I think it takes about a pint of engine oil in the smaller plug on top of the housing. I check mine every year or two and always get some water out of it. The engine oil is checked at the oil level test cock on the right side of the tractor under the pulley. Open and fill until it drips. The transmission oil is checked at the fill plug.
