I bought a non running 1948 Model G that had a hyd pump between the governor housing and the magnito. The hyd lines going from the pump to the rear were rotten and I have removed the pump and the lines. I started the tractor, but the rockshaft did not work. After reading several posts on this site I checked to see if the idler gear was present, it had been removed. I put another gear in and still have no rockshaft movement. From what little info I have found there may be an internal spacer blocking the port to the PTO pump. Does anyone have a service bulletin of the changes that were made when adding a live hyd pump? I would like to buy a copy of the bulletin or at least get the bulleting number and try to find one. |
