| Cab is junk. It is just enough metal around you to say you have a cab. If you want a cab 5k then you need to get to teh 5020 sereis before they have a decent cab on them. Other then the cab they are ok tractors. Pretty reliable if you are not doing anything other than feeding hay or bushhoging and pulling a smaller roller in hay. Just my two cents. |

| The earliest cabs on 5000 Series were made by Simms to meet a price point and by most standards weren't very well sealed nor were they quiet. They're more of an add-on cab, all-be-it they came installed directly from the Deere factory at Augusta. I'm not sure if this comment applies to the 5500 cab, but think so. Just check to see if Simms was the manufacturer of the cab. |
