I pulled dad's 36 A a few times the other night and noticed that each time I did, it would cough and break up at full throttle until there was a good load on it. I had to run it at about 3/4 throttle until the sled started to put some weight on me and then I could slowly throttle up. It runs fine at all other rpm's and all of the fuel and air passages are clean and clear. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter what its ailment is since it pulls fine, I'm just curious as to why it would happen.thanks |

| It IS a fuel problem, as an ignition problem gets worse with load. So, NO, the carb is not right. 99.99% of people never find & clean all the passages in the carb. A high float setting can also cause this, which is my bet. Too rich till under a load. |

| What plugs and wires are you using? Autolite 3116s are the cats meow. |
