Best? I've shot them all, and DuPont Ful-Thane II urethane, code 263 is the toughest and best that I have found. The old chemistry of 1930 Synthol, like all of those enamels you buy at the dealer or TSC is just as dangerous once you add isocynate hardener. Just because you can buy that stuff any old place does not make it safer the apply without a proper fresh air mask.

| John deere Yellow, lotsa thin coats with hardner, unless you spend alot more everything else fades to off white pretty quick. I must say I am impressed with this new TSC Magic JD green when used with hardner...got some to just spray those areas that ya can't get to when ya really paint as most of it gets covered when yu so anyway...was si impressed we bought a gallon and decided to try it for the whole tractor...looks great now...we'll see if it fades. Cannot get my self to try the yellow though! LOL |

| There is a ton of stuff on this forum (paint and bodywork) already up here. Do some reading in that section. What equipment do you have? Is cost no object? How skilled are you at spraying? JD yellow at $65 a gallon holds up ok if the tractor is stored inside. Epoxy paints at $300 a gallon are more durable but require air supplied suits if you don't want to kill yourself. There really is a lot of good reading up here and it's already been discussed. "Search" is your friend! Good luck. |
