I rebuilt the stock fuel bowl assembly on my 530. If the tractor sits for a couple of weeks, the rubber washer that shuts off the fuel sticks to the top closing off the fuel when the tractor is cranked. The little valve drops down like it is supposed to but the washer doesn't drop with it so incoming fuel is blocked. I cleaned everything carefully when I did the rebuild. I've tried manually opening and closing the valve and letting it snap up. The only cure is to remove the bowl and free the washer. Then it works fine. |

| I have to say that's a new one on me. Usually the rubber washer fits the shaft of the valve snug enough that it goes up and down with the valve. In your case, I would try a drop of "Seal All" contact cement to hold the washer to the valve. Seal All is impervious to gasoline. |

| You could disassemble again and sand the upper seat area with fine sand paper, maybe a rough surface is capturing the washer.. |

| Just did 2 of them a couple weeks ago and they are working fine. I used genuine JD ones. Not sure how good the aftermarket stuff is. |
