Hi! I have a 1939 styled B and I am looking for a GOOD set of B5R connecting Rods or someone trust worthy and reasonable to rebabbit the ones I have! Anyone out there have any connections or advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

| If you"re in the midwest, you can check with Effingham regrinding in Effingham Illinois. They can re-babbitt the rods and re-grind the crank, along with any other machine work you might need. Last set of rods I had re-babbitted cost $250. They were perfect though. They"re a top quality outfit. |

| Can you use B3201 insert rods for the B ser.# 96000 up. If you can there is a used pair on the classified adds for $75. |

| Try Pauls Rod & Bearing, they gave me good advice. Don't have the number but they have been mentioned a number of times here, so do a search. |

Paul, do you recall what an "average" re-babitting of a rod will cost? I'm going to start on my "H" when I get back my trip to China. It might might need a crank regrind, as well as a rebore, though it runs well now and doesn't knock, still...probably 60 years since it's last rings. |
