The post below regarding the forward/belly PTO had me thinking about my 4320. It has a plate in that location and I was wondering if a front PTO was an option on that model. My parts book doen't show one and the tech manual doesn't mention it. Can one be installed? We used the one on our 4010 to run a pump for spaying herbicide on cotton in the 60s and 70s. |

| I was refering to 4320 as all of our 69/72 4020 have them but none of the 4000s do.Forgot the key word.I see a few newer tractors running side mount shoulder mower but are all hydraulic powered and have a reservoir on mower. |

Sorry for my mistake. I viewed the late model 4000/4020 parts cat again and the no mid pto mentioned is for a 4000 not 4020. |

| I don't have the serial numbers, but there are several 72 model 4020/3020's around here, and all of them have front shafts, I have never seen one with out. |

| The 71&72s that I have had havent had front PTOs.Probably like the 1000 RPM shaft on 4000 just needs right parts and most anything is possible. We only used the front PTO on a mower and thought about a front mount snowblow but bought rear instead for ease of attaching to tractor |

| Larry, I was wondering if you have ever seen a kit to use the front shaft for a snow blower, I haven't but thought about it,,looks like you would need to make a drop box to get under the oil pan... |

| Look up a #275 snowblower. The parts manual shows a front mount hitch and drive. |

| One could probably split tractor and change shaft (parts key #16) & housing (parts key #9) to the one with mid pto that 4020 utilized but it wasn't offered as an option on 4320. If I looked a 4020 PC correctly mid pto wasn't offered on '71-'72 4020's either.

| The front PTO was standard on all 4020/3020's, but never offered on a 4320, I think it could be added to the 4320,using 4020 parts.. |
