Since it is going to drain 10 gals of hyd fluid as you said in another post, think it may be time to replace it anyway. Is the sump screen cleanable or should I just plan to get a new one from JDParts? With most things on this tractor, i have to order and wait 24hours for the parts to show up, so want to order one now before I open it up. John [Reply]   [No Email]

I want to check the sump screen at the same time so that is where the 10gal part comes from. Since I am going thru all of this, might as well changes all the fluid out. That is the one thing I have not done since I bought it a few years ago. Fluid is clean and clear but prob been in there for 4-5 years. Service tag makes me believe it was done in 2009. Yes hyd must be drained to check sump screen unless a shop vacuum is utilized. As cannonball already stated unless sump screen is damaged just clean & replace.   [Reply]  [No Email]
