I"m looking at a 1999 John Deere Gator 2X4. Does anyone have any comments; good, bad or otherwise? How does it handle off road? I won"t be getting in to much wet ground but a lot of desert. I live in Scottsdale AZ. |

| I have a John Deere TX 2x4 and the only thing I do not like about it is the lack of rear suspension. Also, you cannot easily put a hitch on the TX. I rode dirt bikes north of bell, off Scottsdale road back in the 70's. There were a lot of good places to ride back in those days. We would ride out there all day until it got dark. I left AZ in the early 90's and have not been back. I can only guess what it must look like now... :( |

| I've got a gator 4x2, and love it. With the differential lock, I've never needed anything else. I don't drive it in timber or extremely rough or steep ground, but as a get there from here vehicle, it's great. (Plus the grandkids love it!) |

| I've got a 2001 gator, 6X4. It's great here in NC. I call it "the best small pickup I've ever owned"!! |
