Are 730 valve springs pn F 2143 R and 830 valve springs pn R 1338 R the same length. I am putting 830 valves in a 730D head and I note that the part numbers for the springs are different. I have new 730D valve springs - the question is will I have to get new 830 valve springs instead? |

| You can bet Deere does not have two different parts in the system if one would work on both applications. Might as well buy 830 springs. Let us know how your tractor performs with 830 valves. Someone asks on here from time to time but nobody (to my knowledge) has tried it and shared the results. |

| I think that you are wise in pointing out that 830 valves should have 830 springs - what about the cam - so say that the 830 has a higher lift, is this true - if so should I use a cam with the same lift a the 830? |

| What is the installed height on the 730 and 830? What is the seated and open spring pressures on the 730 & 830? Odds are the heavier 830 valves will require more pressure. |
