Has anyone used stove polish on ther manifold as a form of seal coating/preservation measure ? I saw it being used on an 1933 automobile. |

| I bet your tractor would look good behind your rv going to shows with you. Remember that since you have done this for several years now once you sell it you may want to get back into the sport again and the have to buy another one and start all over again. Do you really want to do that. Just think it over and make sure you want to sellit is all i am saying. Good luck Greg |

| Yes i used it on my jd 50 and i does stay. Just remember to wear rubber gloves and used a terry towel it covers better i think. It also works good on the axels too. Hope you have good luck with it. |

| Ive used the old fashion lookin Black Stove Polish (small tin cans) it leaves a pretty decent flat black color that lasts a few years. If I ever restored another tractor Id have them black slick ceramic coat it like Ive seen, that lasts a longggggggggg time... Sorry, Not much of the manifold in the pic but its the best one I had John T |

| | Back around 5 years ago when it was just restored I hauled it all around to maybe 4 or 5 shows a year. Now that I'm busy and we travel a fair amount Ive got lazy and am ashamed to say I only take it to one big show a year. I think this may be my last year to show and will just sell it. Ive had a lot of fun and its been a good ride (been going to shows and/or showing over 20 years) but Ima just gonna take the RV and go and visit and look at others tractors. John T |
