My brother and I have our Grandfathers '68 4020. It has no rear lights. I know the work light should be on a peice of conduit behind the seat, which is now broke off. What about a rear flasher or red light? There's a worn out hole towards the rear of one fender, and lots of holes all over the other fender, where I assume monitors and radio's were fastened at some point. Did one or both of these fenders have a light? Would it have been amber, red, both? Would the rear work light behind the seat have been one of the combination white/red lights, or just a regular flood light? I looked up the lighting page on Deereparts.com but wasn't sure what I was looking at. It seems like the lighting changed on the side-console models. (Which our's is not) There's so many holes in the fenders, and so many aftermarket lights availible, that I'm not sure what went where and when. Thanks for any help.

My 1965 4020 had the combo light on the stick behind the seat also. I moved it to the fender, with parts for a newer style 4020.(Aluminum post that screws to the fender).
The wires that I needed were already there out underneath the fender. I put a rear work light on the right fender also.
There was no amber warning light.

If it doesnt have to be original the lights off the Stopler cab have the swivel lights the same as go on left fender of 69/72.We put them on right fender also along with extra warning flasher.

JLG,

The rear work light should have both red and white lights in it.

The flasher, which is amber, should be mounted into a hole on the rear part of the left fender, clutch pedal side. The hole is about 8"-12" from the back of the fender, and if you look at the bottom of the fender, it goes through the rear support of the fender.

This is how our '68 4020 was wired, and we've owned it since new.

Matt
