The one im interested in is a power shift,540, 1000 pto. pto wont disengage, has a powere steering leak. cab, no lor need new tires soon. Sounds strong the price is 5000. whats your thought? larryanderson 07-27-2012 05:01:35 99.196.64.57 Report to Moderator	Re: 4020 in reply to montanakid1992a, 07-26-2012 15:01:18   $7500+ will buy a good early 4020 diesel with good rubber.Most have been O.Hd.Tires and condition can mean about 40% of the value.Later ones are more .Usually buying one that needs a little work needs a lot of work.I know of several cases where the first price doubled or more.Dont let paint,new seat,steering wheel etc.influence your decision.JD service centers or knowledgeable mechanics see things you more than likely can miss.Consignment auction tractors are not all bad but the bad ones are all there.The local salvage yard pays around $35/40 per horsepower.
