I found a D flywheel in the old barn, It is keyed with casting number D38R, What serial number tractors does this flywheel fit?Thank You. |

| Not according to the parts catalog illustration. There is no illustration of a spoke type flywheel, and the number listed within the assembly AD305 is D-3-3, not 3-8.
I'm getting this information out of parts catalog CAT45R, page 236, item AD305, and the picture is on Plate 108, item AD305. Looks like a nickle hole.

| My flywheel D38R is a solid wheel, I think that the D33R is either the 24 or 26 inch Flywheel for the serial 30400 to 53387, commonly called a spoker. I think that the D38R must have replaced the spoker at 53388 to where ever the D started using the splined crankshaft. Does this thinking make any sense? |
