gene nehring 07-24-2012 05:06:48 173.20.167.106 Report to Moderator	Got an LA and the mag has no spark, used an aux coil so I know the points and cap are good just the coil part of the mag appears bad, or could it be grounded like the IH mags? Hotflashjr 07-24-2012 08:03:46 71.192.122.39 Report to Moderator	Re: JD LA Popper in reply to shadetreegarage, 07-24-2012 05:44:44   Replace the condenser, make sure you have solid core spark plug wires, and make sure the "shut off button" is NOT bent to touch the mag all the time. This is on the side of the mag and usually has a red or black plastic button on a thin piece of metal. This will ground it out and keep it from starting. My LA had a homemade on off switch that did not work often which also could cause this problem. [Reply]  [No Email]
