M Model Clutch

I am wondering if there is a recommended/
suggested Clutch clutch finger height on a
Model M.. Since I bought this tractor in a
Unrunning state. I have checked the clutch
/ Pressure plate & throw out bearing & all
appeared to be Good, Or very Good Condition.
After reassemble I find I cannot get any free
play in the foot pedel. I have used the tractor
for about 1/2 year & thought I'd run it awhile
Just to see what all it needed. I've decided
Now is the time since I had the Hood & Grill
off for painting that I would split the tractor.
I repared/replaced anything that I feel it
needed with the exception of the clutch.
I found the clutch adjuster assemble bolt &
pin had pulled through the metal part where
it's Silver solderd. Turned out a new pin, &
welded the adjusting bolt back where it belongs
in the metal bracket. Reinstalled & slide the
tractor back together, but I still have no FREE
play at the pedeal no matter where I adjust it.
So Now I slide back apart, when I compaired the
finger height to another used pressure plate the
in the tractor the Unloaded finger height is
3/8 of inch more? These finger are adjustable.
Someplace in my shop there's a A,B,G,D & M
service Book & I cannot it. I am unsure if
they even go over it in the book because I can't
find it? 3/8 of inch is a long ways & would
put the fingers farther from the t/o bearing
& this might give me the clearence needed..
I can't see ANYTHING wrong with the facing's.
Springs are good in both plates & you can still
see the writing on the Clutch Disc facings.

I guess I need to know where I can Find out
what this measurement is supose to be??

Thanks, Sorry so Long I'm Long Winded.......

I did find the Book & Like I figured that info
wasn't covered in a I/T Manual.. I thought that
the clutch manufacturer would have that info.
All I know is someone some where changed this
adjustment & I really didn't want to purchase
a new one, maybe I'm Cheap? But threw trial &
error right now I have a pretty good pedel, only
took 2 more times of seperation to get what I
feel is Correct & the adjusting cam is about in
the middle so I have plenty to go & come with.
Thanks for the reply , but I'm good to go Now..
