Gentelman wants me to replace the gasket under the rockshaft and the rock shaft seals on his 430. I have taken many rockshafts off Molines but never a JD. What am I getting into here? Are the seals hard to do? The rockshaft should just unbolt and be pulled upwards from the transmission? Thanks does anyone konw about how long this shuold take? |

| I don't think you will find a gasket under it. Should be just two metal spaceres. |

| | Not a difficult job, I would recommend a good JD Service Manual though to familiar yourself with the internals and how they detach/reattach first though! The entire hydraulic unit will lift off the transmission case after you unbolt the in/out lines, remove the four attaching capscrews to the top of the tranny case, and detach the load/depth control arm on the back end. |
