Does anybody else wish people would give the Answer or the fix to questions they ask. They seem to have time to ask the question, and a lot of people try to help and hopefully give answers that might cure the problem, but very, very few ever come back on and say what fixed it or cured the problem or??? Seems only proper to come back and say here is the fix,or this helped or it was really something else.Might end a lot of the same questions and help everybody. Or is that wishful thinking.Been restoring for 25 years and not a day goes by ya dont learn something new.And yes Ive done it myself.

How about when you send out specific info in an email and never get a thank you back?

Have done it. I do ponder the question of putting it in a new post, referencing the earlier one and get it to the front of the line, page, so to speak or add it to the original one with a altered header such as "found it; resolved, etc..."
Y'all's thoughts?? Ralph in Oklahoma.

The way this board works, I find it hard to go back and find some answeres Im looking for when I search for them. Sometimes I am left with asking a question again I know has been asked before- I know that can be frustrating to some. I do try to give thanks and an answer to a solved problem when it works.

If you're looking for answers to questions and topics you posted yourself or of another member, click on "modern view"/"profile"/"all posts of xyz".
Or simply use yt's search box in the upper right corner...
Or google things with as many key words u remember....it is good in listing yt posts...
Or print a paper copy of things you think you might need....
Hope this helps on some of your questions. Ralph in OK.

I would surmise by dealing with public for last 42 years that the last thing a lot of people want to do is their homework. Requires effort to research issues and train to solve problem. They'd rather get into a problem get someone to give them a quick fix and you think you're going to get gratitude or response. The last takes some effort also and appreciation. While all folks aren't this way we live in a snactch and grabe society and most all aspects of life will reflect this. Most of the ole timers good mechanics the ones I've been around weren't of this nature but that just my two cents.

That is one of the many reasons I prefer the modern view. Each time a post is made it bumps it back up. It is how most forums are set up now.
