john deere 2520 gas

i am looking at a 2520 gas with wide front, new tires all around, excellent paint, new seat 3800 hrs. dual hyd. Any idea what it is worth?

One of 2494 with low hours and original good paint I would say $6000 on up year makes a little difference as every one seems to like 72s.Nice small handy tractor.New tires add at least $1000

I watched one sell at auction a couple of weeks ago in SW Oklahoma... 70 model diesel dual remotes wf with nearly new tires with rops. Really good paint and had been kept inside. I think it had around 6000 hrs but had recently been overhauled at the local dealership. With 46 loader. Really nice tractor. $13,600.

I've got a 2520 gas... and it's a handy tractor, but very gutless with the 8 speed powershift. maybe the syncro's better.

Last time I asked my dealer, they said mine would be worth $4000 trade, around $7500 retail with a 148 loader. that's with 5,550 hours on the clock. and remember, the powershift is worth more than the syncro trans.

A diesel 2520 with powershift might bring the money you're talking, but I think they've got it priced pretty high.

Depends on who is buying. Around here gas tractors arent worth much to someone wanting to farm with it. The 4k you were offered sound about right but not the 7500 retail. If I traded for it and had it on my lot (JD) It would probably bring in the 5ish range.

It was an auction....I saw the two bidders. I thought it was high too. It was a really slick tractor, but I thought maybe $10k. It went by that in a hurry. But at an auction, two buyers is all it takes to push things higher.

Gas tractors usually are several thousand dollars less.I read on this board that the diesel option was around $1500 but dont remember any facts to back it up.Gas and LP tractors have their place and it wasnt too many years ago that diesel trucks were not popular.If you had a 2520 D power shift that was original with less than 4000 hours 20K would be a place too start. I sold a nice 2520 7000 hr.gas with a wrist pin noise for $4500 and it made a some profit.

A 2520 gas high crop just sold today at polks auction for $100000 and a 2520 with single front sold for $72000. seems a little high. :-0

a very generous offer, and at one time I might have been interested, but now I'm afraid I need to keep it because I can't afford to replace it with another small diesel tractor I overhauled it a couple years back and swapped out the points to a "ignitor" system. the tractor starts and runs soo good now it's scary.

but with the powershift, it's still one of the most gutless tractors I've seen Deere make!

My thought were to put a 239 diesel engine in it.That would wake it up and make a great chore tractor ouy of it.

Back in the 70's we put a 276 out of a 2630 in one, it ran real good...then we added a turbo set up off a 450 and it got even better...
