John Deere MI Info

Tom Sherry would be the person. I do not know if he is still around. Maybe someone else will know. He knows everything about the MI series.
 
I've never seen or heard of a tool box on the back of an MI, but I do have pics of the tool box that was put on the LI. Probably not the same, tho. Usually the mowers used on both LI and MI preclude the installation of a box on the drawbar. The MI's did have a mount on the L/H fender and grille to hold a spare sickle bar. I have part of this brkt, but don't have enuff info to complete it.
 
I would have to agree with you on this one. I have seen plenty of LI's with the box on the back but not MI's. I have always thought of making a removable box for the back of my MT, like a carry-all that you see on the Farmall's and Fords.
 
where are you located?
i have an mi with a wager loader that the tool box was moved and used as a seat/battery box. im in the northeast corner of niagara country in NY.
 
part # AM1311T (sub for AM1312T )tool box for MI item #1 on page 65-6 0f the john deere M parts manual. Mine is missing too. Bill
