I need to replace my moniter on a 6row 7000are there any good after markets out there I dont want fancy and a lot of bells and whistles

They should be available after-market from Dickey-John. You will probably need to jump on the D-J website to find your nearest dealer. For that matter you may be able to get them from Deere but keep in mind the later 7200 and 1750 planters have different connectors for the harness so you will need to be clear it is for a 7000 when inquiring.

What is wrong with the one you have? They can usually be repaired. There are also several planter salvage yards around that could replace the one you have. If you have to buy another newer monitor you better have your checkbook handy. It will likely cost as much as your planter. Mike

I run a Dickey John PM300 on our Black Machine 12-30, 13-15 planter. It gives so much more info than an older style monitor. It also can store three different setups, such as with the black machine transforming into a narrow row bean planter. I would get a newer style monitor, and use an adapter on the cable. Later on you might trade planters, or update your wiring harness and sensors. I like the technology that makes life easier, but try not to take it to extremes. You'd hate to turn your sound guard cab in to an electromagnet by so many wraps of wire around the cab.

Check out sensor 1 http://www.sensor-1.com/

We put one of their monitors on our interplant that we used to use for smaller fields and it worked fantastic! It did not cost a ton of money and it still had plenty of features. If I remember right it was super easy to program and set up.

(it's the one on the right)
