I missed a sale on a nice little MT wide frt
tractor a friend of mine sold, was alittle
ticked that he didn't offer it to me for the
same price he ended up selling it for. But now
is all water over the damn. Saturday however
I kept stewing over the price difference, & I
finally got up the nerve to ask about another
tractor that has been sitting in a yard for a
few years not far from my home...

I looked at it, I asked what his selling price
was & he asked me to make a offer on the 1949
model M. I said it's your machine, you tell me?
Well I got to have at least $200.00 for it....
As the excitiment dwelled within me, I said
listen sir with the attachments you have, it's
worth more than $200.00

So it looks like a picked up a M John Deere
with a John Deere mounted snow plow, a one
bottom under slung John Deere plow, tool bar
& a 6' set of John Deere Disc for $450.00..
The engine is stuck now, don't know what all it
will end up needing & the rear tires aren't the
best, but the wheels are pretty good, tire
chains & a Box full of parts..

So Keep looking Folks, there are still Deere's
out there.. I'll post some pictures when I get
it home..

That is luck. Here in se ohio things are high;but i dont think things are selling. Scrap is high and people want about twice scrap. Tractor pullers have prices up. Ive got a tractor now (1020 gas) i will have to take a heck of a loss on to get rid of.

Ive been looking for a late A/B 50/60 and they are out of site. I about bought a b the other day that was in fair condition. Went back with trailer and ran it around and checked it over some more. Turns out rear axle housing was cracked from end of housing clear back and down to where pto assembly bolts in. small stres crack but as long as it is it could fail at a bad time. Only way to repair is to replace whole housing and tractor cannot be bought for any less. So I think ill keep looking for a late a or 60.

UP DATE

The man called me last nite & said he found some
more ( stuff ) for the tractor that goes with
it.

So on top of what is listed above it comes with.

A Worksaver Model 201 3pth conversion kit.

Complete set of cultivators

& a No 51 mower With Manual & it looks to be
complete.

Manuals for the snow plow which is a M32

& Manual for the ground plow M1A.

I think the culivators are model M14

I have never owned a M Tractor, worked on a
few for neighbors.. But after he found all this
other ( HE CALLS STUFF ) I said I would give
him more money.. He said No Sir $450.00 is more
than enough..I gave him 500.00 when I was
leaving & he handed it back, said it was too
much, didn't want paid for it till it left....

I'd like to find a few more folks around like
him.

No thanks Brushhog. I have 620 , 630 & 2 730
diesels. Also have 2 60's, Personally I think
the LP tractors are ugly, they might perform
great, but as long as I have eye's I ain't going
to own one, unless you come down about 2K LOL!!
