updated 4620 injection pump problem

well guys, I"ve tried a load of different troubleshooting but still puzzled! ive made sure the fuel tank and lines and filter are clean and replaced fuel lift pump. also checked inside timing cover window of inj pump and no sign of any debris.. i opened return fitting on top of pump and no dirt present... the tractor runs for 25 - 30 minutes from cold at pretty high rpm and then starts revving up and down before eventually dying... it starts up ok again but problem comes back within a few minutes once hot.. the ring / rubber inside timing window is intact also. any ideas?

would that tie in with running for 25 - 30 min then acting up? how would i go about checking that? i can get pump resealed here but thats all - ive been told i need to get a replacement pump if its a problem with the head as this is apparently a sealed unit?

When it dies, loosen the bleed plug on the filter and pump the priming lever on the lift pump... get any fuel? If so, take off the return line and fitting (on the IP) and see if it will start back up.

You MAY have something that is intermittently plugging either the supply line or the return line.

Any good diesel pump repair facility can fix it. Sometimes those metering valves get a speck of dirt or metal wedged in them and the only real cure is to replace the valve. Not saying that is the problem, but its a posibility.Lots of things could cause it, but a good pump man can sort it out for you.Wish I was there. I loved troubleshooting those pumps.
