3020 rear wheels

Which wheels were standard for the 3020, the 34's or 38's ?

Anybody have any idea why Deere did this ?

I think I would like the 38's better, your opinion.

Most all of the row crop models that were sold in this area came with 38" wheels unless they were special ordered. A very few of the early 3010s came with 36" wheels as I recall.

IIRC wheel diam selection was a dealer &/or customer preference as to 34"or 38".

All other things equal(gear/engine rpm/fuel type) 34" rear tires gave a little less ground speed which in turn meant a little more engine torque than 38"

On the other hand 38" tires provide a larger footprint for more traction than 34"s
