i am replacing the outer clutch facing that is next to the adjusting disc. i know there are 2 but only the outer one was junk since previous owner didnt have all adjustment nuts the same torque. question is the new facing i got has one side that is grooved. what direction does that grooved part face? also replacing 2 of the 3 clutch cover holding springs. do you need a special rivet tool to fasten the new rivet and spring? thanks

When I replaced the cover springs on my 730 I used 1/4"-20 countersunk head allen bolts with locking nuts. The heads sit just below the surface of the pulley.

i have the manual and it says nothing about what way the grooves face. i know there are more than 2 but there are only 2 clutch facings!!!!! i said i was replacing the outer one next to adjusting disk!!!
