Draining engine oil

When I drain the engine oil in my 50 does the oil also drain out of the ventilator pump and fan drive? It has ps.

Thanks

I'm confused by your statement ? The fan drive and ventilator pump get oiled by the engine oil pump pipeing oil up into the governor housing plus whatever splash flys around in there. When the engine is shut off it drains back into the crankcase or most of it will. So it will drain out the engine oil drain plug as it is one and the same.

The P.S. pump at the frt. of the fan shaft has a seperate oil supply from the P.S. unit which has a drain at the frt. pedestal after the grill is off you can see it. The pump and cylinder won't drain out.

Thanks Mike, that's what I needed to know. I have a minor leak and some touching up. Since it will drain and give it time to dry out I can proceed.
