Does anyone know where to get the injector removal tool for early 4020, and how much it costs?

Thanks,

I always just used a crowfoot or a tire iron. You are talking the big injectors and not the pencil nozzles, I guess. Pencil nozzles should come out if you can twist them back and forth and pry a little under the base.Very few people besides myself even attempt th repair the pencil nozzles. They just toss them and replace with new ones.

It is an early 4020, so I think they would be pencil injectors. I want to take them in to be tested when the pump is rebuilt.

does anybody know what is involed in changeing from the big injectors to the pencil type it looks like the head needs to be changed because of bigger hole welcome any info!

cylinder head change is the only way.

Stanadyne Roosamaster "pencil injectors" came out in late 1965.

OTC made the puller, but it's basically useless.
# JDE38.

Anytime I ever had to pull a stuck injector, the puller did no better then a couple of "lady slipper" type pry-bars.
