john deere 90 skidsteer

Does anyone where I can get a Onan engine for a 90? It's a 24 hp horizontal. Maby a rebuild kit for it.

Do yourself a huge favor and repower it with a Honda V twin engine. My Dad did that to his and so did my brother. Made a totally different machine out of them. Dad ran an onan in his for years and it was nothing but junk. New honda 24hp is around $1200. I know its a huge expense but if you do it right you wont be disappointed. Any other brand of engine will work to, but stay away from that particular onan.

I totally agree on replacing the onan with a honda, we did the same thing with our 318 when the Onan puked. But I just looked on ebay and it looks like the cheapest 24 horse Honda is over 1800 now.

I think they are around $1300 or so in the Northern Hydrualic catalog

Here is a link to a web site that sells small engines and installation kits. I have used them for years for replacing John Deere 317 motors. They are a good company to deal with.
They show a kit for installing a 24 Hp Honda into a John deere 90/Owatonna 330 skids steer. Price $1850
