A 1892 R hex nuts

A while back I bought 16 of these hex nuts. I got two different styles. One is recessed and tapered on the end that goes next to the tractor, the other is solid and flat across the end that goes next to the tractor. I've got eight of each. Is this another case of some are JD made and the other is made by whoever makes JD bolts now? I'd rather have the tapered ends.

The originals are tapered and recessed like you say. The flat ones are probably incomplete ones made "cheaper."
