I am tackling all the little issues on my 3020 before I take it to the farm and leave it to use. I have been starting it every day or 2 and letting it run intil it is warm. Yesterday I changed the oil and greased it. After I let it run to check for oil leaks I shut it off, the Marvel now has gas dripping out of it, it does not stop the tractor from starting or running. It drips until the carb fuel bowl is empty. Anyone ever do a Marvel rebuild? I have rebuilt 8n, jeep and several car carbs and will try this one if there aren't any secrets to making it work. I have the shop manual, not real indepth. Is it one that can be done on a home bench and expect it to work? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Been there before, learned the hard way after leaking a full tank 2 times in the field even after rebuilding the carb twice. I would put a inline fuel filter on it and a fuel shut off in line also that is easy to reach and use. Shut the fuel off each time for an extra measure. Cleaning the cab again with likely stop the leak but dont forget the fuel filter.

I just had my 3020 carb rebuilt. Put it on and have gas running out all over. That's why i had it rebuilt in the first place. Now i think it's something else. The rebuild on the carb was tested before sending it back to me so it must be something else???? Only other thing in line is the fuel pump???? I've got gas coming out a lot, so much so it won't run.Help THANKS It's a Zenith carb

There's probably some crud in the needle and seat.

Will junk theee allow gas to run out? I guess I can take it apart first and use liquid gasket if that fixes it. If not rebuild it.

Thanks Bobby, Bob and MSB. It was not leaking before I bought it and it started after I had run it 7 or 8 times. I was thinking sticking float but it started OK, I'll order a kit and rebuild it. Any ideas on the best place to get a kit? JD dealer? Parts house that specializes in JD? Thanks again. Duane.
