What engine oil is the most popular to use in a JD 4300 compact tractor other than JD oil.

I use JD 5-30 year around in my 4600 year around, mainly because the engine only runs 150F!

I use Modil Delvac 1 15-40W In my 4300. It is pricey but its the same stuff I use in my Duramax. It is a lot simpler with only one diesel oil laying around. This winter it go down to about -5 F and it started right up. Cranks alot easier then it did the winter before with JD oil in it. My dad uses Rotella in his tractors. Works just fine and you can get at Walmart.

I use Penzoil heavy duty in my 4400 but I understand Shell Rotella is good...suppost John Deere has good oil also.
