Here is where my return goes. Drilled and tapped the elbow where the rockshaft returns and ran my hose into it.
JD industrial loader models return here so I figured their engineers should know best ?

Here is where my pressure hose is teed in at.
I searched my records and still can't find what part number this tee is,but it came from JD.
I think I found it in a fitting by size chart.

Mike,

Thanks for all your help. That is the one I thought you were talking about for the rockshaft return.

Mike,

I returned my joystick to the port in your picture per your advice 3 years ago. I use my loader alot and it works great. I pulled pressure line frome the other end of that rockshaft line. I put a t in at the rockshaft because I have a cab. Way easier to route my lines. I put quick couplers between the joystick and loader. Also quickies on both sides of the joystick just in case it failed and needed tractor or some other unforseen.

3 yrs ago ! boy how time flys. Seems like only yesterday I was looking up those cylinder packing kits your dealer couldn't figure out for you.

Those early Waterloo tractors must be plumbed on the hydraulic return line to the passage between the trans pump and the trans filter?
Any 20-55 series Dubuque or Mannheim utility tractor dumps hydraulic return oil straight to the transmission sump. Any oil to the filter and main pump is through the transmission pump unless a ported filter cover is used to upgrade flow.
Once upon a time I thought there was a factory listing where ported trans filter covers were speced for 30-60 series Waterloo tractors. Of course I can"t locate the data at the moment.

Mike,
The fitting(s) in your photo are the ones used to connect loaders on utility tractors. They are two pieces made up to make this tee connection. The two part numbers to make this connection/Tee are: AW16707 and R39249. I never thought of using these particular fittings here as I always used a JIC run tee fitting. I like your method better. Thanks, DW

Hum ? that Aw # looks familar I'll have to check my records again. I did this back in 1993 so all the details escape me. Yes that fitting is 2 pcs. even though I don't remember exactly how I came up with it.

I should of taken a shot of my valve too. It came off a JD500 loader. I mounted it to the exsisting fender bolts. I didn't have a knob for it so I stuck one on from an old IH Scout 4 wheel drive shifter. It's marked 4H-2H-N-4L LOL I can just see someone selling it as a 4WD model 4020 in the future ! LOL
