Walton Tedder

Some late 1980's model Walton WT-8 tedders had swiveling wheels. They went away from that because operators were not watching the positions of the wheels when they set the tedders down and would damage the tedders. If you have a 3 point fixed wheel tedder you need to tedder in somewhat straight lines and lift the tedder if you turn at the end of the field. Also part of the problem with this unit is the 350x6" tri-rib tires on the early Walton (Galfre')tedders. These tires dig into the ground and do not slide. The later tedders went to a 15x6x6 smooth tire that works much better. If your tedder tines (blue & white) are mount on a pipe you have either a WT8 or WT13. If your tines mount on a flat bar you have a WT-9. Walton only imported these sizes in 3 point.
Currently the WT16(14') & the WT21(17') are sold in pull type manual and hydraulic fold. The Hydraulic fold Walton's do not work as well as other brands like Sitrex, Tonutti, Vermeer,ETC. because they were not designed with the proper folding drives and joints.
