HI-Lift Three Point Bale Spear

I have seen pictures of a big round bale lifted high in the air by a three point hitch bale spear, but I dont know who makes or sells them.

If anyone can help me locate and price one of these: Please do so.

What's high? High to me is with a front end loader spear(s) stacking 5x6 round bales 2 high on a semi....very risky.

Normal 3pt 5x6 roll hauling is with a spike. Can lift the front of bale 6" off the ground and the rear a couple of feet. TSC has them for about $100 or make your own out of scrap metal and an old truck (big truck) axle.

I saw one made from a old fork truckboom, was simple to convert to 3pt he just used dauls and alot of weight on front and less than $500.00 in it I would guess.

I have a agcrane unit for sale,never been used. I also have a extra lift linkage setup made by worksaver if that would help. Go to www.ricksales.com and you will find pics of both under used and new equipment. Really want to move the crane unit. Rick

Ag-Krane Inc. makes makes a quick hitch, multi purpose lift that can do much more than lift round bales high. agkrane@wtrt.net Hay King makes a more economical lift that utilizes both the three point hitch plus a cylinder which is what most people use around here to lift round bales onto trailers. www.hayking.com

'Fred Cain' makes a sissors type. Hay Dr sells them & ships them. Along with others. This would be the ecconomical way to go, but a sissors moves the weight farther back, so you need a heavy tractor with good 3pt. A large round bale will make a front end _very_ light.

Several other companies make a forklift style bale lifter with a mast of some type. Probably costs more.
