Fahr hay tedder wheels

Does anyone know of a source for wheels for a Fahr four umbrella tedder? Originals are in really bad shape. The spindle they go seems to be tapered, as the wheels only fit on one way..Considering having tires foam filled to eliminate flat tires...anyone familiar with this, as I know nothing about the process? Thank you...Dan

Yes I have seen foamed tires. Just be sure to use or have the light weight foam injected in tire. I know of a couple of cases where I think they filled the tires themselves and the tires weighted a ton. On certain items that would be great, but on the cases I know they loaded up the unit so much it robbed the power from the unit or the implement left tracks in the field from all the weight. The unit that lost power was a small Bobcat and it took a bunch of work to cut the tires off!! I remember another guy did it to his garden tractor and it could hardly pull itself let alone something behind it. Cost him a ton of money to replace the rims and tires.

My tedder is an old Kuhn. it has two piece bolt-together wheels, with a larger ID bearing in the inner side. It hops around a fair amount with the pneumatic tires. I think that the lifetime of the unit would be reduced with foam in those tires.

(quoted from post at 21:22:51 06/09/22) Tedder is a Fahr model KH4, WITH 4.10 X 6 INCH two piece
wheels.

Call DN Equipment (don't just look at the website), they might be able to help you. They show a Fahr rim, but no description of it on line. They might have a rim from something else that is the same. You should have bearing info and distance through the hub, etc. when you call.
