Farmall 130 front snow plow plans

Hey guys!

New to the forum, new to antique tractors.

Just picked up a '57 130, only equipped with the sliding draw bar.

I've got plans for a grader style snow plow up front
But I cant find any good pictures or measurements for the lift link/ draft bar set up to raise the blade

Anyone in here able to help a fella out?

I live way up north in canada, so I'm going to have to build something, looking around isnt an option.

And I'm predicting a IH-1000 loader arm build in the spring, hope I can share that with you guys!

Cheers!

Those smaller tractors like that don't have a frame to them. You will want to push from the drawbar, to prevent breaking the ears at the front of the engine block. Plenty of those smaller tractors have been broke there. Doing the wrong things to them. Pulling on the front axle when stuck and pushing or loading with them. Personally I would find a bigger tractor for loader or blade work. If you want to stay with the letter series tractors, move to a super for the live hydraulic. It is more prevalent in those than the nonsuper models. The H,M would also have a frame for the durability you will be seeking.

what measurements do you need? what pieces are you starting with? I have a front blade for my 100 (same design tractor). the blade pushes from the
square housing under the front of the engine. not too likely to destroy the tractor if you use it sensibly.

I can send you photos of the homemade one on my Farmall C. It has 2 steel tubes that run from the front blade back to the rear draw bar which give it strength for pushing. It
is lifted by cables attached to the lift arms on both sides of the touch control unit.

I got a Farmall blade on my Super C, minus the lift linkage. I've been raising with the chains for 30 years, haven't busted anything yet.
