Sickel mower adapters

There has been a couple of posts asking about using a 2 prong mower on a Super C that was not made for it. This is my U-F28 that the owners manual says it is for a 300 Utility. This is how I came up with adapting it to my Super C with a fast hitch. I mow about 80 to 90 acres of pasture grass with it 3 or 4 times a year. It works great.

Did you have a patern and measuerments for the off set on the prong arms that join the mower to the quick hitch, or was it just by "guess"? If you have a patern and measuerments would you mind forwarding them to me. I am thinking about adaptig my bolt on over to a similar set up for ease of operation, since I do the same type of trimming along a trail and under trees on the edge of the property on wich I live.

I just did it by guessing. I made the mount that goes on top of the cylinder out of a piece of 2" x 3" rectangular tubing. The piece of flat iron that bolts on to it was about a foot longer that the finished one. I just held it in place with some vice grips and tried it until I got it work like I wanted it. I cut it off and drilled the hole in it. Sorry I don't have more information. If I remember correctly, the lift arm on the 300 is centered over the top of the rear end housing. The rod that works for it was kind of "Z" shaped.
