McCormick Deering hand corn shellers were early one painted Farmall gray, does anyone have pictures or serial numbers from early shellers

Are you talking about the stand alone type or the ones that mounted to a box. I have handled several of the stand alone type for the Amish I work with and most were just rust but what little paint was red. and if anything on them it was painted on, no tag. Now if it is a wooden type I have never seen one.

I have not seen this one, a friend of mine got one that was his grandfathers, no information on it. It is a stand alone with a wheel with a handle you turn, you feed ears of corn one at a time. Thanks for your reply

Do you have a picture you can post here or email me the picture and I will see if I can help you figure it out......Is it all wood frame? Does it have a pair of wood handles on one side.....in the early years IHC bought out many short line companies and kept making the brands they bought out and let the orginal name on it but put ihc logo and part numbers on all the parts....one company was Keystone ......I have many old IHC parts books wood frames made from 1874 to 1923 from rock falls works...they started making the steel frame one in 1912....
