9, 99, 999 deere mansur planter ID

I am looking to identify a 9, 99, 999 Deere mansur planter. Just off the top i have the seed box lid part no. y2002, it has patent dates; nov 28 1893, july 23 1895, sept 10 1901. I am looking to restore this planter, and want to know exactly what I have. Any detailed pictures of pin striping and other details would be appreciated. All that I know right now is it should be painted red with yellow wheels, tips on paint codes would be appreciated as well. I believe the planter is all intact except for the check wire winding apparatus, and marker. not sure if these were standard options or not but the gear is there for the wire.. ,and the bracket is there for the marker. I believe. not doubting google but I have come up with a lot of incorrect or arguing info there.
Thank you in advance JD

A friend of mine had a 99 he restored. The marker arm was located in the center of the planter and was made from wood, Since it was in the center you flipped it over from one side to the other when you got to the end of the field and changed directions.

I'd ask on one of the JD collector sites or maybe Farm Collector magazine. I have a 9/99/999 too and I've researched it a tiny bit. I can't figure it out so far.

I know a lot of info out there but a lot of it is conflicting. I am kinda thinking that the marker was a pipe one just judging from the casting unless they turned the wood down to a inch dia. or so.
Thanks for the replies JD

The wood single row flip side to side marker was about 2" square where it bolted on. The planter I grew up around Great Grandpa bought in 1906 or just before and that marker was in shed for years but planter had been changed to the 2 marker pipe arm setup. Sale I was at a couple of weeks ago had one there that was sold, no planter, just marker arm. That Is like the one I picked up friday and will be taking to new owners today to put back in field. I have heard but cannot confirm that the 99 planter used an edge drop plate where the 9 & 999 used the flat drop plate. Have never seen an edge drop plate.
