IH 540 Manure Spreader gear box

Looking for the "gear box" that drives the apron chain on IH 540 Manure Spreader.
Spreader is in excellent condition and worth repairing.
New parts not available.

Try Teeswater Agro Parts they are in Ontario they sell used parts. worth a try

We've been in touch with
Teeswater Agron Parts. They
have a 540 IH Spreader, but
of course the apron drive
has already been removed
and sold.

Try Randy Renstrom, Alexandria, MN...used to call himself the manure spreader king! 320-763-2533. Dunno if he"s still in business, but his business was used spreaders and parts.

Have you considered replacing the gearbox with a hydraulic motor?

I'll pass this idea on to my friend for whom I posted
The spreader has been extremely well maintained, so it's a shame to junk it.
