IH Mower question

I have a CP-25 two point fully mounted 7 foot sickle mower. It has had both gear boxes gone through with new seals and bearings. I am thinking of selling it since I bought 3 years ago an IH 100 fully mounted mower. Anyone seen one sell at an auction and what did it sell for?

I've seen many Craigs list ads for sickle mowers, with fairly high pricing. But at the auctions I've attended lately they do not bring near what people are asking on CL. Your looking for the Gentleman farmer that has an acreage AND a Farmall tractor. Pretty small buying group. Good luck. gobble

If you sell at auction, probably very little. I only pay $80-100 for 100 series mowers. But if on CL and you refresh often and really list the improvements you have done, the right guy will likely see the value. Won't make money on it but you will beat auction. Most auction equipment is worn out rusty junk. People know they are going to have to sink $$$ into it. Yours not so much, but they dont know that.

There is an IH collectors auction coming up in Nov and that is where I was thinking about taking it to sell.

I am not sure. That is why I was asking because there is an IH collectors auction coming up in Nov near me that I was thinking about taking it to. Like I said both gear boxes have new bearing and seals in them. It is almost like new except for the paint. The mower is near Columbus, Ne. Where are you at?
